What a fantastic pocket knife, Extremely sharp straight out of the packet, well made and light in the pocket. Great knife for Whittling, Camping and for Every day use!! Would I purchase a new one? Yes. but it will be years before I need a replacement for this beauty!! Al

This member of the Opinel range has a carbon steel blade and this means it will attain a better edge than most stainless steel blades at a similar price - in my experience. It sharpens well on my wetstone. The blade lock is unusual but effective. After a small amount of use it becomes second nature.
