This has made a big difference to my existing system. It’s virtually plug and play so easy for a beginner to get started with. Looking forward to upgrading the cartridge and my phono stage for an even better vinyl listening experience.

I auditioned both the Rega Planar 3 and 6. If you are wondering whether the upgrade between the two justifies the cost, it really does! The separate motor control box for the Planar 6 is very convenient to use, especially if you have a mix of 33 and 45s. The sound just came alive with the Planar 6. I especially like the drum sound - it just feels more natural and present than any digital source. Really enjoying playing through my old LP collection after all these years.

A stunning deck - visually, sonically and design wise. Everything is great!

Delighted to have a turntable back in my life. The P6 is an impressive performer and I am rediscovering the pleasures of my vinyl collection. Fantastic clarity of sound and so neutral when paired with my Naim Nova and Focal Kanta No.1s. Having owned one of the original Planar 3s I am amazed how things have improved and progressed not least the ability to switch between 33 and 45 at the press of a button!. Fabulous value given the quality of the performance.

I used to own a Rega planar 3 about 10 years ago. Then went onto buying cds. Built a new audio system, and got the Rega planar 6. Wow. Forgot how good vinyl can sound. I own a box full of vinyl that I bought over the years, about 100 records. It was enjoyable playing these vinyl records that had not be played in 10 years. The planar 6 looks the part. And sounds a lot better than the 3. Specially as this is an updated version of the 6. I have the box which I press a button to change from 33/ 45. What a difference. Back in the day I had to take the belt off to play the different record speeds. Used to drive me crazy. Running on a naim set up sounds great and works well. I would spend the extra over the planar 3, you get so much more.

A well built turntable that gives a quality sound. There are plenty of less expensive decks and many that cost considerably more but the Rega P6 is a good balance of performance and cost.

I gave the Rega P6 a 5* rating, but it was hard to do so. Why? On the face of it, it just seems wrong to have a turntable that weights so little. Surely, the more expensive you want to sell your turntable, the heavier it has to be? Not a bit of it. Light, is the new heavy. The P6 sparkles and wants to move the music along not weigh it down. My 80' pop/alt music has come back to life. CD and streaming always gives the sound an overly clinical sound - sure it suits the electronic nature, but the warmth and rhythm never appeared - not until now. The P6 ensures you want to keep listening, rather than saying, "nice, but that's enough now". I think running it through the Elicit-R is the perfect combination.
