I borrowed the m scaler from jack to try with the Dave Dac. Wow its as good as every one is raving about. The Dave Dac produces outstanding audio performance. But with the m scaler it elevates it to a different level of musical quality. . I have no idea how. But it does. I did not think you could really improve on the Dave, but the m scaler does this. The m scaler is well built, easy to use. Basically keep the input light on white. And you have up graded the sound 16 x cd quality 24 bit. I can not believe that a standard radio station has improved so much. The headphone quality is absolutely insane. Running a pair of focal utopia is just the best you are likely to hear. It is worth begging or borrowing the

I went to The Audio Barn do an A/B test of a couple of Chord power amps. One of the reasons I choose the Audio Barn (it is not local to me) is because Jack genuinely cares about music. he does get excited by the kit and even more importantly the music reproduction. Whilst evaluating the amplifiers I became curious about the Hugo M Scaler. Could it live up to the hype? Well, more than. This is a game changer. Rob Watts is a genius, leading Chord in the development of digital music like no other manufacturer. Do go hear the M Scaler for yourself, but be prepared to but it, because once heard there is no going back to digital music without the M Scaler. It unlocks what is really within a 16/44 file, what it does with 24/44 is simply jaw dropping. If you struggle with digital music because it sounds obviously digital then M Scaler is what you need. Now it is as good, if not better, than analogue. Don’t believe me, go listen. So my amplifier budget went on the M Scaler. I’ve no regrets. But now furiously saving to return to the Audio Barn and get a new amplifier. Which look likely to be a Chord Etude.

Anyone with a Chord dual BNC DAC needs to give this a demo. Outstanding.
