“Under Andy's careful guidance, I upgraded from Nova to NDX2 (and SN3). I followed Andy's advice to the letter in terms of cabling and connectors and speakers' feet. The result is a significant step-up in sound quality, with no reduction in usability. Unlike most of Audiobarn's customers (I am guessing), I am very bothered about where stuff is made and what it looks like - Andy navigated my foibles skillfully. I am too green to say that it is the NDX2 or the SN3 which makes the big difference - but I can tell you that the combination feels and sounds right. To be clear, I was happy enough with the Nova - but once you start on the proper HiFi road, the urge to get on the ladder properly is powerful. I would not have started here - I needed to go Nova first (I had no idea what I was doing). Andy and Jack are not pushy - they advise. They are worth listening to properly.”

“Having had help from Andy and the Audiobarn upgrading my turntable a year or so ago, it was the turn of the electronics, With external constraints requiring at most a two box system the usual brilliant service advice has resulted in Naim NDX 2, Naim Supernait 3 plus Super Lumina interconnects. Delivery, set up and trade in of the old Nova was seamless – an absolute model of what customer service should be. The step up in sound quality is absolutely staggering. If ever the 2 box constraint is relaxed I’ll be back to the Audiobarn to see where else we might take things. And thanks again Andy for all the help!”

“Upgrading from the original NDX has been a delightful experience. Obviously everything has moved on quite a bit since 2010 but the clarity of detail revealed is impressive especially with high-res files; there's plenty of solid attack in rock music and instrumental separation in classical. Matched with the Focal Chora 826s vocal inc opera soundstages are fantastic and one hears new things in historic recordings. It's always a good sign when you feel the need to revisit your collection for things you've missed. The new colour display is lovely and switching between sources via the app as crisp as one would like. Good to now have Qobuz integrated into the app too. As always terrific help, advice and service from Andy and Jack The Audiobarn.”

“I recently upgraded from my humble but long in service ND5 XS that I also bought from Jack around 6 years ago and can highly recommend this streamer. We started off the listening session with my ND5 before moving to the new version, the ND5XS2. Big jump in clarity and excitement but the NDX2 is in another league completely. Staggering detail and soundstage, deeper and more controlled bass and super engaging. Worth every penny over the ND5xs2 in my opinion and seems to get better and better at home!”

“As something of a traditionalist - Vinyl; took a long-time to embrace CDs - I started my move to streaming music by buying two DACs, a Nano iOne and then a Mojo. Both provided - and continue to provide, in different set-ups - great performance and with growing confidence that this journey was worth pursuing, Audiobarn let me audition the NDX2 and 555PS at home. Sitting on new Naim Fraims the performance has been brilliant and they are probably not fully run in yet.”
