“5+ Stars The Magico A5s are simply the finest sounding loudspeakers it's been my pleasure to hear. My previous PMC Fact12s, were excellent in their own right, but the Magico's really are in a different league. Many speakers of this calibre seem to require large amounts of space around them, both due to cabinet size and porting, which makes them challenging to accommodate in British homes. Although not a small speaker, the A5s sealed box build means it can be placed quite close to a rear wall without detrimentally impacting the bass or overall sound quality. Running these with an Innous Statement and Vitus RI-101.2, the sound produced is really jaw dropping, in that the speakers really do disappear into the room. The clarity is truly startling, with the ability to hear right into the recording you're listening to. Imaging is exceptional, and for those who love Pace, Rhythm and Timing, the A5s will handle anything you throw at them, without grace or favour. I listen to music from 15th Century choral, to modern metal, and the speakers just let everything flow through. Lastly on the bass - with three 9" bass drivers per channel, it's no surprise that this is incredibly good, but the tightness of the music across the full spectrum is incredible. The PMCs seemed slow and smeary in comparison (though again, I consider these to be very good speakers). The experience of buying from The Audiobarn was terrific. Jack, Ben and Graeme were all super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, and I has as much time as I wanted to listen before buying. Thanks guys! I'll be back for a cable upgrade when funds permit!”
