“Brilliant service all round! I was looking to buy a Linn Sondek LP12, DSM, and speakers, and after a bit of searching and reading online reviews, I decided to visit The Audiobarn. The location is great. I live in east London, near Stratford, and was able to get to Audiobarn in around half an hour by car thanks to the M11, finding myself surrounded by farms and peace and quiet. The listening room I used was great, and Ben was really helpful explaining the alternatives which might be suitable for my home. When my new Linn system was delivered, the team had tailored it to work with my new book case (I don't have a dedicated listening room like a lot of audiophiles seem to have), principally ensuring the cable length worked, and adapting the electric plug so it would fit round the back of the book case. Although I did run into a problem (through no fault of Audiobarn, the stylus was revealed to be faulty after a couple of weeks), the team were very responsive, and got Linn to send a replacement quickly. Steve, an LP12 expert, visited to fit the new stylus, and even took the time to ensure the LP12 was calibrated perfectly. Very impressed, and I'll probably be seeking an upgrade from Audiobarn at some point.”

“A beautiful, great build turntable (the piano black finish looks fantastic). It's easy to use, reinforcing the Japanese concept of complexity and elegance in simplicity. It's based on a modular concept, thus the upgrades are conveniently easy to perform. The sound quality is great, warmer and more natural in comparison with digital streaming sound quality (I use Tidal). On the downside, the turntable is extremely sensitive to vibrations - just walking next to it can impact the stylus. Also, you need an adapter to listen to 45 rpm records, and overall, the upgrades are not cheap.”

“Still the classic and the best. For the money I don’t think you can improve on a Linn. Plus, Jack and the boys at Audiobarn will look after you before, during and after you buy.”

“I bought the Majik with a Lingo 4, in a custom finish. Steve lovingly set up and installed it and, although it will need some hours run in, it does sound very good ‘out of the box’. Very pleased - well done again, Audiobarn!”

“The next stage and for the time being final upgrade in my hi-fi journey. Complementing my Naim NDX2/282/250/Supercap with Audiovector R3 Arrete speakers purchase earlier this year from The Audiobarn and, again, courtesy of Andy is a Linn Majik up specced to nudge it towards Akurate level. Again, expertly set up and installed and all housed in a great looking clic unit. As ever, great advice from Andy in deciding on the final spec for the Majik. Also a very generous trade-in on my original 1983 Sondek which has not seen the light of day since being boxed away in the late 1980's! Now re-discovering my vinyl collection that has also not been played since then. Thank you Andy and The Audiobarn”
