“The Ultra6 v2 Stillpoints I purchased from The Audiobarn have been placed under an amplifier and CD Transport, both of which are widely recognised in high-end circles as the best of their type. The aim of using Stillpoints was to extract/sharpen the final grains of musical detail which are adversely impacted by the hidden ‘noise’ which is present in any audio device, whatever it’s pedigree. Ther is no doubt that improvements have been detected since the Stillpoints were installed. These incremental changes include an ability to hear more deeply into the music, with better instrument separation, sharper trebles and a deeper bass response. Voices have also become more life-like and tracks in general provide a greater sense of ‘being there’ with the artists. The width and depth of the soundstage have also improved. It is likely that Ultra6 Stillpoints will benefit any piece of audio equipment, but their price would suggest a more cost-effective application under mid to high-end items. Whilst I have waited to acquire Stillpoints as the ‘icing on the cake’, there are good reasons to use them under a variety of equipment at an earlier stage of system development. As system components are upgraded over the years, existing Stillpoints can be re-utilised under new equipment. They are extremely well made and will provide a lifetime of service and on-going improvements to sound quality from any system. My Stillpoints were purchased from The Audiobarn as a new on-line customer. Direct contact with Jack during the purchasing process was very helpful. Stock was promptly obtained from the UK distributor for forwarding on to me, with regular and informative e-mails provided as the order was fulfilled. The Audiobarn clearly appreciate all business directed to them and are keen to build up a long-term relationship with clients. Their website is very comprehensive, easy to use and conveys a good sense of their expertise and the high quality of products offered.”
