“Brilliant service all round! I was looking to buy a Linn Sondek LP12, DSM, and speakers, and after a bit of searching and reading online reviews, I decided to visit The Audiobarn. The location is great. I live in east London, near Stratford, and was able to get to Audiobarn in around half an hour by car thanks to the M11, finding myself surrounded by farms and peace and quiet. The listening room I used was great, and Ben was really helpful explaining the alternatives which might be suitable for my home. When my new Linn system was delivered, the team had tailored it to work with my new book case (I don't have a dedicated listening room like a lot of audiophiles seem to have), principally ensuring the cable length worked, and adapting the electric plug so it would fit round the back of the book case. Although I did run into a problem (through no fault of Audiobarn, the stylus was revealed to be faulty after a couple of weeks), the team were very responsive, and got Linn to send a replacement quickly. Steve, an LP12 expert, visited to fit the new stylus, and even took the time to ensure the LP12 was calibrated perfectly. Very impressed, and I'll probably be seeking an upgrade from Audiobarn at some point.”

“During the 80s and for many years after, I had a Linn/Naim system, based around my beloved Linn Sondek. Then a combination of work and a young family reduced the amount of time I could spend listening and it fell into disuse. As the children are now grown up and have flown the nest, I felt it was time to reignite my love of high-quality music reproduction and decided to see whether streaming could match the quality I had previously enjoyed. After comparing various options from Linn, Naim and others, I felt that the Linn Selekt DSM was nearest to what I wanted and offered future upgrading possibilities. I have not been disappointed with this choice, especially when combined with Qobuz. The unit oozes build quality, looks great and is remarkably compact. There were a few minor issues at first but these have since been sorted by firmware updates. My only two minor gripes are the lack of a balance control on the remote (you can only adjust the balance via the Linn web page!) and the fact that if it loses the internet for any reason (we recently upgraded to full fibre), when it returns, you usually need to reboot the unit to restore normal behaviour. I am thoroughly enjoying revisiting all my old favourite rock, pop and classical favourites and exploring lots of wonderful new music for no additional cost, which just wasn't possible before streaming services came along. Highly recommended!”
