“Good competent pre amp, does basically what it says on the tin. As with the original 33, it has a nice compact form. I bought this because I have always liked the old 303 units but have never been happy with the old 33 preamp, especially the old spring loaded push button selectors on it. The new amp has much better electronically controlled push button selectors, and of course the option of remote control. Some had criticised the remote but I have no issues with it. Tone and balance controls on the preamp are physically a bit narrow making it hard to use them if you are not using the remote to control them. Would have been nice if they had added a 4 pin DIN output so that it could have been directly connected with an older 303 without using an adapter. Build quality is very good but let down a bit by the rather cheap looking plastic selector buttons on the front.”
