“Well made and finshed and also one of the few bookshelf speakers that can be used up against the rear wall, with thought given to the rear cable connections, and usable against the side of a bookshelf. Reasonbly priced when compared to the competion, but offers an overall performance above other bookshelf speakers, considering the size. “Back in the early 90s, a friend of mine had a pair of the earlier AE1s, and there was something about them that really stuck with me …. their size, front ports, and no-nonsense, utilitarian design. The sound on these modern versions is just alive, with a lovely, sweet treble and bass that bobs along effortlessly. They’re a fantastic all round speaker, and you really can’t go wrong with them and would think they are bigger than they are … and they look superb !”
