“A well made CD transport, typically QUAD in its looks and build. One of the reasons I choose this was because it had a tray loading mechanism for the CD as opposed to a slot. Never had any problems with slot loading but never felt comfortable with the concept, especially if playing an expensive/rare cd. The player sounded much better than expected. I didn’t expect a transport to make that much difference to sound quality as it was going through the same DAC that I use for several sources, but I was wrong. Operation is very quiet and the play back of MP3 was also very good. Overall a good value for money transport. Only down sides for me were a display that is rather small and loading time that can be frustratingly slow.”
