The Cobra MT270K 5-in-1 multi tool is powered by a 27cc Kawasaki engine and includes four quality attachments - a grass trimmer, brush cutter, pole pruner and long reach hedge trimmer, together with an extension shaft.
At the heart of this multi tool is a commercial-grade Kawasaki TJ27E two-stroke engine which produces consistently strong power delivery together with state of the art engine technology, whilst achieving reduced fuel consumption and industry leading low emission levels.
The Cobra MT270K petrol multi tool comes complete with a nylon line tap 'n' go grass trimmer attachment for mowing and thinning. Also included is a robust guard for increased operator safety. The shaft length is 75cm. The quality nylon line is automatically readjusted by simply tapping the cutting head on the ground. The newly released line is then cut to the optimum operational length as you continue using your brush cutter. Attaching the heavy duty metal tri-blade makes clearing larger areas of brambles, shrubs and saplings even easier.
The pruning of hard to reach branches, the Cobra MT270K also includes a pole pruner attachment comprising a 72cm shaft fitted with a 30cm (12") high quality chainsaw bar and chain.
The hedge cutter attachment will make it even easier to cut at various cutting angles. The 72cm shaft is fitted with a 62cm (24") double-sided cutting blade with 30mm tooth spacing. The innovative design of the articulating head means that you can easily and smoothly adjust the angle of the cutting blades through 180 degress at varying increments.
The Cobra MT270TK garden multi tool package is designed for professional use and is completed by an 750mm extension shaft for even greater reach and a single shoulder harness for comfortable operation.

A lot of machine for the money. I have only used the hedge trimmer so far , its very powerful and makes hard work easy. The only drawbacks I have found are 1) The machine is quite heavy, I solved this by repositioning the loop handle to suit me, it worked and felt more comfortable 2) The On/0ff switch is very near the power trigger and is easily knocked to off, a bit of a nuisance if you are working off a ladder.

Tool came on time, and although there was some confusion with tracking the order, it all arrived safe and sound. The parts were all simple to assemble (for me) and the instruction manual adequate although in serious need of a spell checker! As for the tool itself...the kawasaki engine is as easy to start, powerful and (so far) as faultlessly reliable as i had been led to expect from the reputation of the brand. Delighted! I was a little nervous about the quality of the attachments, as there are clearly many very poor ones out there (judging by reviews of various 'economy level' multi tools). I hoped that these would be decent enough at £500, but given that the whole package is a lot more affordable than a Stihl or Tanaka set, I was prepared to be disappointed. Thankfully, the attachments all seem to be very well made, robust and sturdy. I have used them all for a good blast of work and have no major complaints. The hedge trimmer is a bit heavy, but I was expecting that given that the blades and bar are longer than most others of this type. They cut very well, and the speed and ease of work from the large blade/bar size is worth the weight. More effective and easier to use than my mate's Tanaka version! The Pole saw is very good if you know how to work it, and so useful for clearing dense scrubby borders which would be awkward at close range, as well as reaching up nice and high with the extension pole. To get the best out of it if you need to have some basic experience with chainsaws (assembling the bar/chain/sprocket assembly, keeping the chain sharp, adjusting chain tension, cleaning and maintenance tasks, cutting technique etc). Strimmer itself works perfectly, though the line supplied ran out fairly quickly, and there was no guide to changing it in the manual. Thankfully we figured it out without too much delay, and it works even better with the thicker line I normally use. Now I know how, the line is easy to change and the 'bump feed' works great. Single strap harness is adequate as the machine is quite light. Even the free ear muffs and visor are of suprisingly good quality. Two small free fuel mixing bottles are a waste of plastic though, as a 5 litre petrol can with 100ml 2 stroke oil is what we all use, right? 2 small issues: 1: quick release safety mechanism on the harness almost lost me my clip on the first day (I now have it tied on so i don't lose it). 2: changing attachments can be a bit annoying. The small little spring lock can be fiddly to locate in it's hole, and I have already wasted many minutes (and much swearing) trying to get the parts to fit together. Perhaps I will get more fluent with the 'knack'.... Overall though, this machine works very well, and I am very happy with it in all of its functions. Highly recommended.
