The Cobra SA40E lawn scarifier / raker will bring an end to hours of raking, forking and scraping to give you a lawn to be proud of year after year.
Equipped with a high power 1800W motor which drives the 40cm working width, the Cobra SA40E is ideal for the fast removal of unwanted moss, thatch, weeds and other debris. Using the SA40E just once a month will result in more room for your grass to grow, improving water, nutrient and oxygen penetration for better quality, stronger roots.
The Cobra S40E is equipped with an interchangeable 2-in-1 blade and tine drum with working depth of -12mm - +8mm, which is height adjustable through four settings via a single lever.
Debris is collected in a large, robust fabric 40 litre bag. The fabric enables a strong free flow of air resulting in more compact and comprehensive collection. The ergonomically-positioned operator controls are designed for comfortable and safe use.
A combined scarifier and lawn raker in one machine, the Cobra SA40E comes with a 10 metre power cable and offers the ultimate flexibility and superb value for money.
IMPORTANT!
COBRA SA40E CARTRIDGE REMOVAL BEFORE FIRST USE
Please be aware that it is vital to detatch the scarifier from the underneath of the machine prior to starting for its first use as failure to do so will result in the drive belt snapping. The cartrige is attached with two cable ties purely for transportation purposes.
There are warnings on the packaging, and the operator's manual details how to remove the cartridge, but Cobra are still experiencing machines being returned with this issue.
Failure to follow these warnings will damage the scarifier and will void the warranty.

“I have only used the scarifier option so far but it seems to work very well and feels powerful. The adjustment provides a good height range, with a wheelie bin full of thatch being removed from a medium sized 2 year old lawn on the first pass. The machine was easy to assemble and seems quite robust. It appears easy to swap between the scarifier and aerator attachements. My only complaint is that the collection bin doesn't fit well and becomes detatched easily. However using it without it is no problem and the removed thatch can easily be collected by going over the lawn with the mower set at a higher cutting height than normal. The lawn subsoil was quite damp when I used it so it also picked up a lot of mud which quickly compacts underneath. A thorough clean after use is recommended, and can be easily done with a brush and scraper by removing the scarifier or aerator which clip in. Five stars if the bin stayed on.”

“Easy to use, quality product that worked very well. Lawn hadn't been raked for years and I needed to empty the collection box very often but that's a sign of how effective the machine is not the size of the basket, a bigger one wouldn't have made much difference. Having both a scarifier and rake drum is a huge benefit which limits other machines which don't.”

“A great product so far. I have a large, uneven garden with a lot of thatch and moss. The collection bucket was too small for me this time, but as the garden improves it should be adequate. I would have given it 5 stars, but two of the prongs broke on the first use. I think that says more about the state of my garden though. I would still highly recommend it over something from other large high street retailers. A good buy!”

“Good piece of kit! Well built and powerful, very pleased with it. I was going to buy a cheaper one but I'm glad I bought the Cobra, much better quality. Only slight negative is the length of the mains lead, although quite long it will probably never be long enough at times, easily solved with an extension with a "rcd" breaker.”
