Read The Green Reaper Reviews

A great choice of lawn mower for gardeners who prefer to mulch their grass clippings, the MTD Lawnflite Smart 53 MSPB is manufactured to suit those who demand quality, style and useful features at affordable prices. The mulching system comes as standard and is suitable for all grass types and conditions.
The Smart 53 MSPB features easy to operate individual wheel height adjustment ranging from 28mm to 92mm - the higher setting allows the machine to cope with longer grass on uneven ground.
The wide 53cm steel cutter deck will cover large areas quickly and the mower is powered by a Briggs & Stratton 550 E Series engine with recoil start.
Using a mulching mower recycles the grass clippings in a way that actually feeds the soil. As the clippings decompose, nutrients and fertilisers are returned to the turf resulting in a fuller, healthier looking lawn. Unlike a conventional lawn mower, there is no grass bag to empty, so no trips to the compost heap. The result is a perfect lawn finish that is 30 per cent quicker.

Hi, Nice piece of kit and B&S engine is always reliable. The only thing I cannot get my head around is the hugely flawed front wheel propelled system. Who thought that was a good idea when you pivot on the rear wheels and can add a bit of weigh to them should the mower become bogged down

Seems tough and well built. Very simple to use with Briggs and Stratton engine. Limited controls mean it's just start and go with no messing around. Started first pull out of the box and for such a large machine is reasonably light and easy to manoeuvre, makes quick work out of mowing my lawn. Excellent value for money and highly recommended.
