Harness the powerful performance provided by a beefy 1800w electric motor to quickly cover a mid-sized lawn with this top-of-the-range 40cm mains-driven rotary lawn mower from Webb’s superior Classic line! Quality features include a rugged poly cutter deck and a cable-pull protector; convenience features include single lever cutting height selection and a ‘bag full’ indicator. The Webb ER40 comes with a spacious 50 litre grass collector and a lengthy 10 metre power cable.
Employing a seriously powerful 1800 watt motor and offering a range-topping 40cm working width, the UK-designed Webb ER40 Classic electric rotary lawn mower is well equipped to handle tough grass conditions and larger areas.
The sleek and stylish two-in-one Webb ER40 will cut and collect or cut and rear discharge your grass clippings. It has five preset cutting heights (20-70mm), so the machine can be set-up to perform effectively whatever mowing conditions you have to deal with. Tthe height of cut is selected using just a single lever.
The mower is supplied with an extra-roomy 50 litre grass catcher that optimises productivity by minimising stops to empty; and it boasts a handy ‘collector full’ indicator that prevents spillage and blockages by letting you know when the grass bag is at capacity.
The Webb ER40 is based around a hardwearing polypropylene 15" deck that won’t rust; and which will prove impact resistant and easy to clean. A foldable handlebar means it can be made more compact for storage and transport; while Webb’s provision of a carry handle ensures you’ll have no trouble lifting it up steps or into the back of the car.
Other quality features include a cable-pull protector that stops undue strain being placed on the connection; and a lengthy 10 metre mains cable that gives you lots of freedom without the hassle of using extension leads.
For optimum operator safety, this model requires two-handed operation.

Good mower for the price. Although it looks very plasticky it seems sturdy enough and because of the plastic it's light and easy to work with. The shape of the handle gives you the opportunity to shift your grip and the height adjuster is high on the chassis rather than down by the wheels making it quite comfortable and easy to use. Most importantly it makes light work of cutting even damp grass. There are some things that could be improved though. Initial assembly is very fiddly and needs a lot of strength. The cable is 10 M long, which isn't all that much so you will need some sort of extension cable if you have even a decent sized garden. More concerning is that the power cable is hard fixed to the mower rather than detachable. This makes it a bit harder to untangle from the mower after use and makes negotiating fixed objects like washing line poles a bit laborious when with a plug-in lead you just detach and reattach thecother side of thecobstacle. More importantly if you accidentally run over the lead you've had it. This is likely to happen at some stage because the power cable is black and in winter daylight at least is hard to spot against the grass. A longer, brightly coloured plug-in lead would really make this a great machine. All in all though, it does the job, it's reasonably priced and generally well thought out.

Cuts well, dry and wet, very easy blade adjustment. Only negative is that lower handle release is so difficult it's not worth doing, otherwise a good mower
