bike is well put together, powerful with excellent brakes and with good handling. Unfortunately with my working in London and with the bike kept at my address in Devon my opportunities to ride it have been more limited than I would have liked.

The only thing I've found it don't like is that the pegs and exhaust is a bit low and hits the ground on sharp corners but let's face it its a tourer not a sports . Very good bike indeed does exactly what it should and can be fun too

Legendary Fireblade engine but detuned to give more grunt through the whole rev range, at the expense of top-end. Which is perfect for everyday road use. Handles well, stops well, build quality is great. My single gripe is that for tall riders (I'm 6'4") if you raise the seat, you end up with an ugly gap between seat and tank. Also, the screen is next to useless. Too low. Fit an after-market touring screen. Much better. After a 1600 mile trip round Spain and Portugal (with pillion) I decided that the bike was physically too small for touring, so sold it and got a 1400GTR. That having been said, it never missed a beat, didn't cause back or bum-ache, it was just too small. Probably down to my height more than the bike. It'd make a perfect commuter or Sunday toy (assuming you don't want a bike that looks like it belongs on a track).
