“positive ; absolutely fabulous puts a smile on every time out or even looking at it , fast beyond my believe, smooth, reliable , comfortable above 80mph on arms and wrists , economical relative to performance , 50 + mpg for the first 500 miles !!! .
Negative ; Got to sell to keep licence !! . Heavy when parking, low speed . looking for KTM990.”
“These bikes aren't for the faint hearted and they are not light bikes either they are quick of the mark good for cruising above 60mph i've found they don't like crawling below 30mph.
I would advise anyone under 5'8 to get the seat foam cut down to lower the seat or get a shock absorber specially made for you for this bike as mine has been lowered by 30mm and is still a bit high for me to have both feet flat on the floor.
I have found that there is two sitting positions on these bikes if your a shorty like me slightly bent over the tank and semi sat up straight.
Also to maximise the riding position you can also change the handle bars to use the handle bars from a 2004 vfr 800 as they have higher bars on them and that helps if you like being in a sit up and beg position.
Mileage wise on these bike depends on if you have a carb model or the injection model the manual states that on a full tank of fuel you can get 190 miles out of them but I managed to get 205 miles at a steady pace and that was on a long journey.
But over all a brilliant bike just watch your speed as if your not careful you might end up losing you licence.”
“I've ridden many big bikes over the years but I can honestly say the blackbird is by far the best all rounder, might not be hayabusa fast, but for me 180 is fast enough, I've fitted a power commander a K&N and race cans, for another 25+ BHP.
It has the best build quality of all the jap bikes, has a turbine smooth engine, and is very comfy, your'll never get bored with it and you will always know it will never let you down.
Once you get one it's unlikely you will ever sell it, unless it's for the new VFR 1200.
