“Bought the bike new in May 2001 and it's therefore now 13+ years old. It's taken me 6 time to the south of France in that time as well many holiday breaks in this country. The bike is faultless and I can't praise it enough. I have it serviced every year by the Honda dealer I bought it from and it's never let me down. I have only had one chain in that time (about 3 years ago) and I'm still on the same brakes, bearings etc etc. My only expense over and above servicing and tyres has been about £50 for a electrical box "thingy" on the cooling system. I have thought about changing it as it's now over 13 years old but every time I have a ride out, when I come back I realise that this machine does everything and more than I want from a bike, A bit pointless changing it then!!! And, it still goes like the clappers when I want it to! as well as able (on two occasions in France) to do 500+ miles in a day and I was still comfortable at the end! Brilliant, faultless bike.”
“In my opinion the best all round sports tourer ever built, bullet proof engine and taut handling. Comfortable seat and riding position for all day riding. Fuel economy not too bad so range on a tank OK.
Servicing costs not so good, Honda parts very expensive. Rear light unit over £400, pattern part £80, why?
