The ultimate tourer! Fast but comfortable. Eats the miles but in the twisties it is as good as any sports bike. Lots of space.

A fantastic and agile tourer. The 1400 GTR does not disappoint on the handling front. Becoming surprisingly light and responsive as soon as you move, it makes the bike easy to control at both slow and fast paced work. With it's ultra smooth acceleration and gear change it is a real pleasure to ride. Often with pillion passengers unaware that you have been changing gears both up and down the scale. It's 1398cc engine, albeit high on revs, is smooth as you progress, easily handling any acceleration you wish to throw at it. The riding position is excellent, ensuring that even after a long journey you climb off the bike feeling good, with none of the usual aches or pains that we are all starting to get! The equipment levels are fantastic. The well sized panniers, (removable), are more than large enough to pack any travelling gear in and combined with a 42Ltr top box, unbeatable for its class without going out to buy specialised touring luggage. The informative and intuitive LCD display and on-board computer shows you all the information that you'd require as you ride, without showing you lots of options for unwanted and useless statistics and is very easy to read. With it's key-less start system and security and electric adjustable screen, the Kawasaki 1400 GTR really is a winner in the ease of use category. A very stylish tourer with stunning looks and a commanding road presence.

Sure, there may be better tourers, and better sports bikes, but then you'd need to buy 2 bikes. The GTR will cross continents, or keep up with sports bikes on the twisties. The perfect bike for my needs.

Great touring bike. Tyre pressure monitor is a pain though. Plenty of power even when loaded handling & brakes good for big bike. Wife comfortable as pillion, did add a backrest to it for her.

quality is great, engine is very sporty, comfy for 150 miles before cramp handles well for a big lump, electric screen does make a difference, just a bit heavy to push around ,the gtr is a very quick tourer and yes I would buy another one
