Fitted a scottoiler and havent had to adjust chain in months.
Restricted to A2 (33bhp) and still goes like a bullet up to 85ish before the power drops off.

“It's alright in its standard form. Reliable enough and spare parts aren't extortionate. I'd recommend getting at least a different end can if not a full exhaust system on it though if you don't want to sound like you're riding a sewing machine.”
“Being only 5' 2" & a bit of a lightweight (My bike is 4 times my weight) I did a lot of research before buying my ER6.
After a little bit of a ropey start & a few minor adjustments geared to assist my small stature, I can honestly say I absolutely love, love, love my bike.
It handles brilliantly, responds as you would expect & in my opinion is both an excellent first bike, yet still has enough there to please the experienced rider. I have toured Europe (France, through the Pyrenees, Andorra & Spain) on my bike & also Scotland. I had no problem fitting & transporting a 52L tail pack with integrated pannier sides for my trips. The riding position is great for those days when you need to get the touring miles in.
The screen & fairings for me are perfect, stops me getting buffeted about. I rode down from Scotland in torrential rain/high winds, I would say the fairing/screen meant I arrived home much less tired after my 300+ mile day than I would have been without them.
My only real gripe is the seat lock/lack of storage under the seat ( I mean come on!... who puts a lock facing downwards near the back wheel where all the dirt from the road sprays up & into the lock? Sigh!) Recommend WD40 into the lock wipe excess off and then cover with insulation tape ( Bike is black so it works without anyone ever noticing.)
want to stash anything under the seat...? Forget it... there is no room at the inn!
So, is the ER6 worth the time, money & effort? Unequivocally yes, provided that you give it the regular maintenance/servicing, the same as any vehicle. 15,000 plus miles & my ER6 still runs like new.”
