“I own a Kawasaki Z1000 2006 A6F. I bought it used with 5000 miles on it; it now has 50000 & because I look after it, it is still pretty much as new. It is ridden to commute in all weathers all year round & does it all without compromise.
I have modified it to suit what I believe it should have been from the factory.
I have never had any mechanical problems with the bike besides normal wear of parts.
The bike is fantastic fun to ride & because I have a Power Commander with custom map it is very quick (136bhp at the back wheel). I look at other bikes of the naked kind, but none match the design or attraction of the gen 1 1000. Just the front forks needs some improvement with upgraded KTech springs & a decent set of end cans & then what ever you want to do because the bike loves to be cosmetically & performance modified.
The quality of the build is very high; it shows no deterioration if looked after (GT85).
I won’t part with my bike, but keep it if I get another- I love it.”
