“Overlooked by lots of younger riders the ZZR 1200 might not be the thrill blast that we all wanted when we were 19, but this venerable old lady can still lift the her skirts deliver a shocking turn of speed with the best of them out there.
The fact that she's big and comfortable, cuts through the weather with ease while being ultra low-cost to insure and maintain, is a secret that starting to get noticed.
Would I swap her for another younger model - lets be serious yes! But it'll have to be something very, very special.

“Had from new and thoroughly enjoyed it. Ideal for short or long distance touring etc. Only kept it for this long (bought in 2002) because it ticks all the boxes. Have travelled 2300 miles so far here and abroad with no problems.”
“One of the best sports tourer i have ever owned it eats up the miles in comfort and fuel economy is very good for a 1200 machine with enough power to keep up with anything on the road today. The riding position is very good and the fairing keeps most of the wind away from the rider, the lights are fantastic and the twin main beam are as good as you get on a motorcycle.Overall i rate this bike a good 8/10.”
“Fantastic bike for power and performance. Bum does get sore after 100 miles, just did over 1,000 miles in 4 days in france with a gel seat, it helped but still not over comfy. will be looking for a GTR1400 test ride ASAP see whether ride position is as good as they say it is :) KAWASAKI LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL :)”
“The only trouble with my bike is me, My legs are just a wee bit too short, to reach the floor properly I have use my tip toes. But it is a wonderful ride.”
