I have enjoyed several big bikes over the years, and many of them Kawasaki's. What I like about the 1400 is that it feels like a 750/1000 when you sit on it in terms of weight and size, but that is equally very diseptive and potentially dangerous for those that are not used to riding more powerful bikes. Don't be dissolutioned by its 600 like idling, because when the revs climb in 2nd gear and beyond you soon realise that you're on one of the quickest bikes in the world......so brace yourself. Dislikes.....not many to be honest but what does bug me is the lack of radiator protection and storage space for your bits and bobs such as keys, spare change etc......what were Kawasaki thinking. I mean they go to all that effort to build a truly magnificent machine and then they forget the little things! What I like about it the most though is the stylish bad boy looks, it smooth power delivery and its superb handling. The bike sticks to the road like a glove better than any bike I've owned previously. For those of you considering owning one of these machines......all I can say is that you won't be disappointed. Best wishes.

This is the second zzr that i have had. The first was a zzr 1100 which felt more alive. The 1400 is still alive and faster but delivers the power in a smoother way. The brakes are very good, which could explain why i eat brake pads. Easy bike to ride every day and well balanced, you will feel how heavy the bike is once the engine not running. Not very good on fuel can sometimes put more than 20£20

I had a 2010 model zzr1400 which I loved but had a fancy for the 2014 model which is an updated and upgraded model. What a revelation! I'm so glad I replaced my old one for this. It is a level up again. I thought the 2010 was an ultimate machine and as I said, loved it. This latest bike is a different beast. It can be a pussy cat and very comfortable to ride about town but......... Poke it with a stick...... My god it is a firecracker and the power just rolls on and on!!! I love the clutch control and the feeling that the bike is more manageable than the previous version. An altogether improved ride and much more enjoyable.

The bike is all I expected as it has the low down power to be able to accelerate comfortably in 5th at 30 mph, The longer wheel base as against a sport bike makes the bike feel far more assured and stable on the road. I suppose this feeling does not induce you to go fast it is like driving a limo against a rally car, I feel totally in control and confident while in the pilot seat and having the power to get me out of a tight spot if ever the time arose, The weight of the bike I had to get used to and make sure my feet were firmly planted when coming to a stop, but this took no time to come to terms with. I'm a little on the short side so got bike lowered, it's made it a lot better for me. I have a 600 Hornet but much prefer the ZZR. It's a great bike to ride and I've just done John O Groats to Lands End, over 2000miles and a tour of the Balkans, selvio Pass as well, 4000miles. The bike went well, but had a problem with the back brakes..got braided hoses fitted now. Next bike for me would be another ZZR1400, just love the bike.
