wanted one since I first rode one at the end of the 90's. picked up a '98 naked model, that had a few little extras, belly pan, after market exhaust and such, for very little money. lots of bike for not much money. have changed a few bits and pieces myself, to suit my own taste mostly, but one major change was putting the 6 pot front brake calipers from later models on, in place of the standard 4 pot nissins. it's an 18 year old bike, that has had no work done on the engine, ever! it still performs, still pulls like a train, and even if I do buy another bike, I won't be parting with it!

My bandit had only 14500 miles on the clock, which is nothing for the age of the bike. W-reg (2000) but i just fancied a change and brought something a bit newer. The bandit overall is a strong reliable machine!!

Exposed (hot) metalwork (Oil rebreather pipes, exhaust junction and engine casings) have now corroded, and been replaced as necessary. Plenty of options still available. Sometimes has trouble starting nowadays, but still has plenty of drive in a straight line.
