When I took delivery of my 14 it was hard to wipe the smile from my face. It is beautiful
Performance wise; for me, as a plodder, it does everything that I want it to do. However, I ride a couple of times a year with faster riders and the bike has no problem matching them. I am the limiting factor.
My 14 is now almost 13 years old and on original suspension. I have adjusted the settings to give a "harder" ride as the standard settings are a little wallowy. I recently had the forks rebuilt with new bushes, seals and oil. It feels like new again.
Comfort is great. The seat is sumptuous and the pegs low so there's no tightness in the legs on a long trip. There are abundant suppliers of custom seat covers. Allowing a rider to sculpt the seat to their personal preference. There is no adjustment of the standard seat.
Lights are adequate. I don't ride in the dark very often so don't complain. I installed a pair of small LED lights to each end of the oil cooler to enhance visibility.
I have covered 18000+ miles now and have spent very little on the upkeep of the bike. IT is serviced every year by a local dealer and has never failed an MOT. It shows no sign of giving up. There's probably another 20 years in her yet.
It si a heavy animal at a stand still. Pushin it can be quite exhausting. However, get it moving and you don't notice the weight. Just the fun.
