I have always been a Triumph man and I was not disappointed when I brought this bike,it was a very pleasant trip down memory lane and also with the Bonneville people wil come and talk to me about the bike so I meet people as well although it can add 2hrs on my trip out.

2000 model, still going faultlessly. Good fun and easy to service yourself.

Just right size for me as I'm not a big guy but sufficient power to get me out of trouble when I need I. Only fault I would have liked a gear number indicator as. I sometimes try to change up when I am in top gear. Love the classic look of the bike compared to modern looking bikes.

This America, purchased on ebay second hand at very low mileage 6 years old is as good as new. Everything works fine and there is ample power available without being horse-crazy. The low seat is very comfy - no need for a gel enhancement. Brakes require definite push/squeeze but I am happy with this as lock-up is near impossible. Only one moan - the whistling/popping SAIS is a pain. I will probably remove it - eventually. As it was half the price of a new model (albeit the old 790cc rather than 825cc current version), with real carbs, spoked wheels and a grands-worth of after-market goodies, I consider that I have a real beauty. Every time I park up some guy (or occasionally a gal) will come over and drool. I wish I had a £1 for everytime that someone says "What a lovely bike!".

Still enjoying my bike, no problems so far, just completed 2000 miles, I use it on all types of roads, M25/M11, Essex B roads, east London urban rat runs, performance is 1st class, tho I find it a bit heavy when slow filtering in heavy traffic, (I'm 5'9"and 11stone and 61).Spent a weekend in Cornwall, comfortable riding position, no discomfort, 700 miles, handled and braked well, even in rain and drizzly weather. I get an average mpg about 55, thats about 160/170 miles per tank, not as good as the W800, my previous bike.I do miss a centre stand, especially when cleaning/waxing chain, no helmet lock, or rev counter, all these extras cost on the bonnie, all standard on W800. The better handling and more torquey engine does make me prefer the Bonnie . I feel the W800 is a very good product made by a very good engineering company, but the Bonnie is a motorcycle built by a motorcycle manufacturer. Hard to put into words, but the bonneville for me feels like a bike that built by enthusiasts.
