“2003 carb model nice low seat height good riding position plenty off power but like all modern bikes likes to be reved 80 mph = 5000 revs build quality the best. A bit quite on the exhaust note but best left standed as triumphs put a lot of effort to get it right.”
“In the 60s I owned 2 Bonnevilles , both very good but not very reliable , I realise it was the way I rode them-too many races etc .
This carb model is perfect for me , I am in my seventies and can do the maintenance on this model as easily as the old models . I have removed the air control , rejected and drilled out the exhausts to get the performance and noise of my old bikes . My wife-who still pillions with me- says I will never grow up , lets hope not!!!!!”
“Great engine, flexible and plenty of torque. Build quality good. Great looking bike.
It's a relatively heavy bike but on the move its a fun bike to ride.
It's major downfall is the basic suspension.”
“The Bonnie , not the fastest bike on the road, loads of style comfort and reliability, a practical everyday bike excellent for the amount of traffic and state of the roads, I have done the speed thing , new Honda cbr 600 and Ducati not an easy to live with every day bike, Triumph Bonneville a perfect choice for me at my age / stage of my life. I could have gone for a new one , not cheap though.”
