Great bike and a massive improvement over my 08 model. One negative is the throttle is a bit twitchy but you do get used to it.

This is the second Tiger Sport I've owned so it's a given that I like them. Things I like on this model are the looks , great engine, more comfortable, lighter clutch lever action, good fuel economy and of course cruise control. Things I don't like are few indeed but include a very noisy screen that puts my helmet right in the dirty air. . hate it and have ordered an MRA Vario Touring Screen to sort the problem. The mirrors vibrate terribly and are useless at anything over 70 mph and lastly , setting the cruise control can be really awkward with the button being on the right hand side, I find it easier to lean across and set it with my left thumb , come on Triumph !! On the whole though , I love it .

After 3 years and 14000 miles through all weathers the bike still looks good in the most part though some of the black finish to forks and mirrors is showing signs of wear. It has also had a few glitches with the electics, some times the clock display does not activate and the ignition needs to be switched off ad on to correct it. Sometimes in city work the injection can be a bit harsh at crawling speeds, not that its a pain or is there all of the time. the bike is perfectly balanced and easy to ride at slow rates Take it out of the urban environment and its home! I regularilly do 200 mile round trips around lancs, yorks and cumbria and after owning some 30 odd bikes over the years i can honestly say this machine suits me perfectly well. Put the touring kit on which is quick connect and you can go away for the week with ease. Run it with the top box only as a very capable commuter or, take it all off and go scratching with confidence that only the lack of chicken strips can prove. Protection is fine, im 5'11" buffeting is not an issue, i found Avon storms work really well and give great rider feedback as well as perfomance in all weather and ride styles. Overall im still in love with this bike, possibly more than the 1200 rex which was my no.1 bike for 10 years. The latest tiger sport has ride by wire lighter clutch and loads of electronics. As it stands if i had to replace my no.1 bike now then im pretty sure it would be for thr latest version. The Beemer and Ducati are bigger with more horses but this just sems to fit me and my style. Of course i would like to see more horses but the performance as is doesnt make you miss anything and the smooth 1050 triple is a peach.
