“Comfortable, capable and quick. The Fazer 1000 will cover distance quickly and in comfort whilst carrying all the luggage you need. Easy to maintain and service if you are capable with a spanner.
Only niggles are the engine paint can be flakey and the front end gets a bit light if given too much right hand! A pleasure to own.”
“I take a lot of time choosing my bikes so expect them to perform well , as this one has . It is now 12yrs old with 60k miles done to date .servicing is every 6k and seems to cost around £200 at Raceways Motor cycles in Fleetwood , the main agents who supplied the bike . The major components I have had to have are ; chain + sprockets , rear wheel bearing and the pivot bearing on the top of the shock absorber . I have used sport touring tyres by ; Bridgestone ,Metzler and Michelin finding them all very similar in performance . I have test ridden several different bike and not been sufficiently impressed enough to warrant the cost of changing . I have a full record of running costs should you be interested .
