Purchased this new end of October PX a 2 year old Sprint GT, obviously the RT was much more expensive has a lot more tech too. I have found it more comfortable to ride it turns much easier. The Panniers are large I had to get city lids as they were a problem filtering in city traffic. At 5'10 using the standard low seat setting I can put both feet on the floor when stopped. Heated grips are great and the heated seat is a bonus during the cold weather. The screen can put me into a turbulence fee zone but then I am looking through the screen which does distort things a little. Bike starts every morning first push of the button and so far everything is as it should be. Added a Tomtom rider Satnav Had to make a mount for it but it sits in the original Garmin area of the console quite comfortably. The bikes performance is adequate, handling good. Traction control may be a tad too intrusive in rain mode but I don't use that normally. Fuel economy in the mid 40s so similar to the Sprint it replaced, and the bike is still running in I guess. Quick shifter takes a little getting used too. After 40 years of changing up gear without using the clutch remembering not to throttle off a little as I change took a little time to get the hang of. All in all so far I am very pleased with the bike, looking forwards to the better weather

Great bike, comfortable enough to spend all day in the saddle. 230 mile range, good wind protection, does everything I want it to do. Great bike.

Bought the bike as ex demonstrator from BMW agent. Got great deal on trading in my K1600. Has been an excellent bike in the last 18 months. Tyre wear very good, needed nothing but petrol. Great ride both one up and with pillion passenger, plenty of grunt to pass in traffic.

Never thought I'd ever own a BMW maybe it's to do with getting older and knowing what you want in a bike. I still have a Triumph Tiger 750 chop and XT 660 Yam

Liked the bike and it served the touring purpose but was let down badly by mechanical and electrical breakdowns. I had to have a crankshaft seal replaced twice, the second occasion it required a new bearing. The ABS unit failed and the electronics control unit failed. This bike was only 9 years old with less than 20000 on the clock. All this adds to the stories about unreliable final drive units. Loved the bike when it was going but wouldnt touch another BMW motorbike if this is their build quality. They ask enough for these machines, have a strict service policy at no mean expense and then charge the earth to repair their unreliable build quality. Any budding BMW owners please dont come to me i will break your heart.

Easy to ride, there is a reason this bike is used by police and other emergency services as it's reliable, strong and comfortable
