This is a solid piece of furniture and, with patience, was relatively easy to assemble. It is ideal for our 48 inch TV and good space for a sound bar, set-top box and old DVD/VCR players. Some parts are quite heavy, as is the finished item, so you may need an extra pair of hands to put it together. On carpet it is difficult to push around. On a non-carpeted floor the weight of it might mark wood/laminate though felt pads on the feet might overcome this.
