“I have this set up for a native shrimp tank and it seems great for that purpose. The granules are very strong, which is nice because I'm hoping they won't disintegrate fast. Just a note that the granules are very light, so if you you have very boisterous inhabitants or burrowing snails you'd probably need to secure plants down with something in addition to just this sand. Having said that I've got java ferns and hairgrass secured with just the sand, and my native glass shrimp (paratya australiensis) aren't uprooting them at all.”
