“I've been using the Omnidesk Pro 2020 for over a month now, and I can say that I've been fairly pleased with my purchase.
My key concerns before buying the Omnidesk were the stability of the desk, potential sagging due to how long my desk is (I got the 183cm version) and the performance of the motor.
I’m glad to say that the Omnidesk is fairly stable – I don’t notice any shaking when I’m using my keyboard and mouse even when I’m standing (with the desk at 101cm). Having said that, when I’m leaning on the desk with my elbows and nodding along to meetings, I do see the monitors shaking slightly.
The motor perfectly handles all the weight I put on my desk. I estimate with my dual monitors, computer and laptop I’ve got a 40kg load on my desk. For my desk to go from 74cm to 101cm, it took just 6.5s.
There’s also zero sagging of the desk after over a month of use, which is great!
I also got the following accessories: the PC Mount, Headphone Hanger, Power Clamp, Wireless Charger, and Cable Management Bar.
The PC Mount is great because it lifts my PC along with my desk so that I don’t have to worry about needing to stretch the various cables plugged into it. This makes it easier to minimise the visibility of my cables!
The Power Clamp is quite useful for it’s USB3 and HDMI passthrough. It’s also great to have easy-to-reach power points for temporary plug-ins. It’s a bit disappointing however that it hasn’t got a USB-C passthrough, and the two USB charge ports don’t seem to do quick charge.
The Cable Management Bar is great for hiding the cables and keeping them in a fixed place. I think its main purpose is as a space for cable excess though, rather than for placing powerboards. I did manage to put three powerboards in the space, but it’s a fairly tight fit when you attempt to plug in plugs with the powerboards lying flat.
Overall, after using the desk everyday for over a month, I'm loving the Omnidesk Pro 2020!”
“As above, good quality and sturdy desk (only a slight wobble when fully extended), parts were extremely heavy and difficult to maneuver which to me indicated good materials. Assembly was a bit complex but there is a video on youtube that I followed that made things a lot easier.”
“This desk is really nice. It's solid, very wide, I can finally fit everything on one desk. It's sufficiently deep and having the option to stand up is so good.
Also finally getting the perfect height with scoliosis is a huge back-saver.”
