I had this in the yellow and decided to get another so I could go out with friends and family. Got same one again as it's great just in a different colour!

I've only been on once since purchasing, but the experience was fantastic. Setup is super fast and I was surprised by how solid it feels despite being inflatable. This is the best purchase ive made in a long time so couldnt be happier. Also worth noting, I'm pretty small (107lbs/163cm) and I carried it to and from the water, up a hill/down stairs, and didnt find it to be too cumbersome or heavy. I could lift it up with one hand.

I love my Waterwalker 120! I'm 5'2" and wanted something I could manage on my own down Very steep hills and would fit in my hatchback. This is perfect! I take it out with my 5yr daughter and we tour de lake of lakes near by. I got the kayak conversion kit and LOVE IT!!!! If you are petite like me, I do recommend splurging for the electric pump. I got it after using the hand pump a few times.

I chose the 120 because it's a bit smaller and easier to handle than its competitors, and I was not disappointed. I've taken it out on the water 6 times now in the past three weeks, and it's a dream. The entire aquatic world is now open to me and I'm psyched! I've taken it on freshwater lakes and in the ocean (Way tougher than a lake, but fun! Wasn't skilled enough to catch any waves yet. I tried and failed.) Looking forward to a river next! (Gotta get a helmet for that-haha!) PROS: 1. Great compact size. Easy to carry around, lightweight compared to competitors! 2. Stable, handles well, and relatively easy to unpack and repack! 3.The fins pop in really easily! 4. The paddle holders on the side is an 5 touch. 5. The placement of the carrying straps: perfect. A few considerations: 1. The straps fold roll into the board, and they're never dry by the time I'm packing up. I can towel off the rest of the board, but the straps stay soggy. I hope they don't gather mold after a while. For now, it doesn't seem to be an issue. 2. It's possible due to it's smaller size that it is harder to keep going in a straight line than with other boards. It tends to scoot either way when I paddle, even with a J-stroke. Not sure how it stacks up with other inflatable SUPs. 3. It's a beast to get to the proper PSI with the enclosed handpump, even when letting off the pump's pressure accordingly like instructed, it's pretty tiring. Every time I'm in the middle of pumping, I consider buying an electric pump, but I figure it's 3 to build muscle. 4. I'm a little bit concerned the creases that appear when folding will eventually crack open. Hopefully, this will take a few years at least, since this was a big investment for me. There is an included patch kit, but I don't know how well that will work. We'll see! 4.Definitely best to have two. My friend bought one and we go out together all the time. It would be a little more boring without her. All in all, I'm very very happy I bought this board!

So stoked you're having a blast on your new board! Ocean waves can be challenging. It's best to start on a calm day and pick a spot that's protected or calm enough to paddle out past the breakers. It's awesome to hear you're really trying everything and exploring! You're right about tracking. The smaller the board, the easier it is to muscle around when paddling. This makes it more agile but also reduces tracking and glide a bit. It's a different style of paddling from a long touring board. We typically recommend rolling the board rather than placing hard creases in it. Chances are you're taking proper care when packing your board away, I'm just going off of your text description above. The boards are quite durable and should be fine for years, but if it concerns you, you could try rolling from the tail sometimes and the nose other times. This will stress different areas of the board so the creases you mentioned aren't in the same place. You can also store your board unrolled or inflated if you have a convenient space to do so. Can't wait to hear about your river adventures! See you on the water, Matt Social @ Thurso Surf
