“My best friend bought the same model in a smaller size and highly recommended Thurso. I didn't know what to expect because there are so many SUPs in the market and many that are more/less expensive. I am so happy with the SUP and it's totally worth the price. I actually bought this for my partner's bday present, but I am using it just as often with our little pup.”

“I've got two Body Glove Performer 11 boards and have been happy with them. To make a fair comparison to what I know it's worth considering the Thurso is 87% more expensive. What I like more about the Thurso are: -The carbon shafted paddle is much nicer. Feels better, lighter and more effective. -Removable fins are great. Longer center fin helps board track straighter -Rear bunjie (I like to hold my flip flops there) -Side d rings to add kayak seat -Bunjies being secured by d rings instead of nylon straps are nice -Manual pump is quicker with the three stages and my lighter daughter is able to actually use it one the single stage at full pressure which she can not do with the body glove pump. -Bag is much nicer -Front and rear grab handles are nice -Side paddle velcro holder is nice. BUT, the prickly velcro is VERY hard to cover with the soft velcro enough to not scratch the crap out of you when you are getting up on that side. The camera mount at the front of the Thurso is a nice touch but I'm not sure I'll use it much or at all. What I like more about the Performer 11 -Price is quite a bit less -It's lighter which is very obious when carying any distance. -There is a plastic coupler piece for the bungie that allows you to easily undo the bunjie to loop through something and it also allows you to easily tighten the bunjie. Thurso is just a knot. I plan to try to find one for the Thurso bunjies. -Fit and finish is a little nicer on then the Thurso. This is being VERY picky as they are both very nice. The thurso has some extra glue in some areas that don't appear to be needed while I also had a seam start to come appart on the white band that goes around the board. Their customer service seems to be great and they said they would send me an extra tube of glue. I expect it soon. -The fixed fins of the performer 11 have their place as they appear tough, they don't go missplaced etc. There are numerious kids in my daughter paddle board club that have shown up without their removavle fins. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and will likely buy another one. The weight and cost compared to the performer as the two reasons I would consider lookign elsewehre. I feel like this easily compares to MANY >$1000 setups I've looked at. 3 job to the Thurso team.”
Hi Tim, Stoked you're digging the board overall. Thanks for the detailed review. From everywhere we've looked online it seems like the Performer is quite a bit more expensive than the Waterwalker 132. Our goal is to make awesome quality full SUP packages with everything you need to paddle out at a super affordable price so as many people can experience our favorite sport as possible! See you on the water, Matt Social @ Thurso Surf

“I'm loving my new iSUP! I've crawled and sat on it so many different ways I can't even count. It's amazingly stable. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 is because the paddle does leave something to be desired. The clamps for connecting the three pieces seem very loose and can make maintaining the proper paddle length difficult.”
Hi Amanda, Stoked to hear you're digging your new Waterwalker 132 overall! Sorry about the issue with the clamp, but it's adjustable and can be easily fixed with a tweak of the screw. That'll adjust the tension on the lever so it'll be just as tight as you like. If you need help just shoot a quick note to contact[at]thursosurf[dot]com and we'll share a short video with you on exactly how to do it. There's also a manual available for you at thursosurf.com/crew Keep paddling, Matt Social @ Thurso Surf

“I've been out on two rivers and a lake so far and this board did great. It pumps up in 4-5 minutes and has a lot of 3 options that other boards didn't offer.”

“We have now used it on a couple lakes and the Missouri and have had a blast. My daughters are 13 and 9 and enjoyed standing up and paddling we also purchased the kayak seat and I am a huge fan of the sitting and paddling. Today I had two nine year olds and a 4 month old lab puppy on it with me on the river and it was incredibly stable I had forgotten the kayak seat but spent the day sitting and using it as a kayak anyway. It moves through the water really easily. I use my electric pump that plugs into my car lighter and then just top it off with the hand pump works great. I have contacted Thurso multiple times with questions before and after purchase and have received prompt helpful responses. Only positives from my family!”

“My new board is great! I bought the 11' one. I am a 5'4'', 125lb, paddle board novice and I figured out that I just needEd to stand on a little stool to have the leverage to pump a full 12-15 PSI into the board. I tried a couple of electric pumps I was willing to spend the money on, but they were not up to the task and the hand pump works great with my small addition! The board moves well through the water and there is plenty of space for strapping down my things. The storage bag has plenty of room for me to get everything packed back up so I don't have the typical experience of ''how did they fold this to get it to fit'' problem. I can repack the pump, board and paddle and they all fit easily in the bag. The customer service people that I emailed a few questions to were thorough in their answers and I felt like they truly wanted to help me get the board that I would most enjoy. I'm very glad to have such a well thought out and supported paddle board experience.”
