“I wish I could rate my experience using the board, but I do not have it yet. My family had a vacation planned from June 19th through the 28th, and we planned on using my boards on several occasions. I ordered the Thurso surf board on May 19th and still do not have the board on June 25th.”

“The board is great, I don't have a lot of experience with paddle boards but this one has done well on the lake. The paddle itself can be a little irritating because it doesn't exactly stay locked in place when you adjust the length, so keep that in mind when you purchase this board. If it bothers me enough I'll buy a different paddle. Overall solid board l.”

“Overall performance of the board is great once inflated. However, a bit disappointed in the pump - lots of work to inflate / deflate and seems to only work on stage III.”
Hi Daniel, Stoked you're digging the board overall. Reaching 15 psi can be a bit of work but the 3-stage dual-chamber Chimera pump is designed to help with that. Each stage works like the gears on a bicycle so you'll want to go up a level as the pumping becomes more difficult. At first it'll inflate rapidly using both pump chambers on the up AND downstroke. On the final stage it'll use just a single chamber on the downstroke only (this way you can put your weight behind it) to top off the board. “I'm not new to SUP, but this is my first inflatable board. I was nervous about the stability of the deck, as I do a lot of ocean paddling. My fears were completely erased with my maiden voyage! This board is so sturdy, easy to maneuver in the water (I have th 11' board) so so comfortable on the feet, plenty of room for extra cargo, and also it's just really nice looking in person! The paddle that comes with this package is stellar, very light weight, great texture on the hands, adjustable lengths. I can't praise Thurso enough; all the gear included is top notch. The dual action pump, so fast. Backpack, plenty of room for all your gear and extras, plus it has wheels. Leash, very high quality and super comfortable. If you had any doubts about trying an inflatable board, pull the trigger and go for it, you will not be disappointed with this brand!”
