“I live down in the caribbean for work and picked up the 11' Thurso this year to bring down with me. I was between a few brands/models here on Amazon and am very happy I went with Thurso. I did have the advantage of using my girlfriend as a bit of a test dummy as she already purchased the 10'6" model; but either way we are both extremely happy with these boards. They're very well thought out in their design and the entire package is quite a deal for the $600/$650 price point. The extras and patch kits are very nice to have included.A couple of extras/pro's of this board:1. The (3) removable fins are so, so, very handy. Hardware-less and easy, they allow for keeping the board inflated in the house and getting it in and out of the front door and down the stairs to the beach a hell of a lot easier. Plus less chance for damaging them in general.2. Buy an electric pump and swap out the included pump. It is a huge time saver, and the electric pump saves you space in the bag for other gear. One thing I would recommend is trying to find a pump that has both a standard wall plug AND the 12V car plug. I bought a recommended one and it only works with the 12V car cigarette lighter (which is a bit inconvenient).3. The bag and all of the gear (with electric pump swapped out for the hand pump) weighs in at ~43 pounds; leaving you with extra room in the bag and 7 pounds for extra gear (pole spear? Mask? Fins? rash guards? Dive Gloves?) Basically, the included bag is a nice touch to turn this into a full water sports travel package if you have an extra 7 pounds of gear to travel with like I do.3. The carbon paddle is awesome, very sturdy, and the fastening system is great. The extra paddle head for $50 is also a great addition. I copied over my review for the head below:I was not sure how quickly I would adjust on an inflatable board in the open ocean. SO, I got the extra paddle head in case I ever find myself in current or wind too strong to stay standing. A quick conversion over and I can sit and kayak paddle out. So far, it has been lovely. I take it out with me if I think I will be heading into bigger water, or leave at home if I am just planning to paddle around on a less windy day or in a less exposed area. The conversion paddle was actually a big selling point for the board in general; and so far I am extremely happy with everything the board and paddle offer. Thanks Thurso! The board has been awesome so far and we are out at least 3x a week (work allowing) so far.”

“We bought one of each of the 126 and the 132. They have so far met our expectations and more. Well made and easy to inflate. We opted for the kayak seat and extra paddle... Glad I did... Was nice to pull out the seat when I wanted to cover more ground quicker or it got windy.”

“This is our second SUP, the first is a solid board w pointed bow. I am 77y/o, inflated it to 13 psi in 10 minutes & it is so solid I didn't make the extra effort to take it up to 15. The weather finally permitted me a one-hour paddle in 5-7 kt wind. Very stable, would be an 5 board for beginner on up. I used only one fin and this was plenty for the conditions. It was more difficult going upwind than my solid board. Not sure if this was because of the rounded "scow" bow or the overall size. Deflated & back in the bag in about 15 minutes. Overall, I like it a lot. Come June, it will probably stay inflated until September.”

“I took it on overnight camping trips, I could place all my gears. Never any problems. I love the new additions to the model. I had it for over a year and it was stolen from inside my car. :/ I am saving up to buy the new model.”

“Arrived on schedule. I was happy to get the deck bag which wasn't originally offered, but didn't get any wheels on the bag as advertised. I am delighted that everything fits in the bag including my PFD, reef shoes and towel. First try, 10 minutes to pump up, twenty minutes and I was on the water. About 15 minutes to deflate, roll and pack up. The pump deflation works great. The paddle works well, no security issues or concerns of loosing the lower end. I'm a novice, but it seems to track well. Balance issues are my own, but stayed on the board, so far.”

“This thing is awesome! I've been out on the river 3 times already and I can't get over how solid this board feels. All last year I used an inexpensive inflatable kayak which worked but was frustrating at times because it never felt solid and I felt like it could pop at anytime. I don't have any of those reservations with this board, it is very stable any easy to use, plus it looks great. Be prepared for a mini workout pumping it up, big the 2 stage pump helps. The roller bag makes it really easy to store and transport. If your reading this you probably are doing a lot of research on a bunch of companies like I did, after all the reviews and now after using it I know I made the right decision. Get this board!”
