I already love this board. The only time I've been on a board was a rental at a local lake and it was a blast then. I broke down and got the Expedition and it is a blast. I little more unstable than the rental I had but it's still a very sturdy and reliable board. After about 30 minutes I was used to it and was moving around the lake with ease.

So far I'm very impressed with this paddle board. I'm so much faster. It's lightweight. I can zip upstream & navigate branches quickly. My only complaint is the Velcro for my paddle is already showing wear. (I've probably paddled 4 or 5 times).

I love this board. I have the Expedition and the Water Walker. For the record, I LOVE them both. I do not have any problem with the stability of this board but this board is not as stable as the Water Walker. To illustrate the difference in stability in the two boards - I can do a little jump on the top of the Water Walker and land but I have not tried that on the Expedition. I have not done any yoga on it- I do that on the Water Walker. . I did have the Expedition out in some white caps on the Barnegat Bay (NJ) just to see if I could stand on it in the chop and I did fine. (For the record, I snowboard and have 3 balance.) I feel the Expedition is a bit faster for the same amount of effort. If you are looking to do some serious distance and don't mind a learning curve when getting use to balancing on it….then this may be your board. Whatever board you go with, I strongly suggest getting the kayak seat and extra oar to convert the paddle. It is nice to change muscle usage and great for heavy winds. Comparing both boards to my Crosier SUP (hard board)- I would happily ride any of them. Inflatables are the way to do if you can not get a hard board on your roof or if you want to bring your board on vacation (flying). The backpacks that the come with are very nice quality. I wish they were slightly wider as these boards are heavy duty and hard to roll up. The single action pump was fantastic…but the two chamber must be wonderful. The paddles are fantastic! I like all the ties downs on both boards.

Heya Kim, This is so great! Stoked to hear you're digging both your Waterwalker and your Expedition! No doubt the Expedition is a little narrower and more efficient at cutting through the water. You've probably noticed it helps to use that pointed nose to turn into oncoming waves a bit to help you slice through them. Very cool that you've got a few different boards and plenty of experience to compare them. Have a blast out there! Keep paddling, Matt Social @ Thurso Surf

Love my board! Take it out on the Columbia, Yakima and Snake rivers all the time. I keep it on my trunk and when I get off work, pump it up and hit up whatever river I'm by. Fast, sturdy and high quality. Love it so much I bought another one for my wife!

5 board for day trips and touring. I used it exclusively in the Caribbean doing mostly day trips and downwinders. For easier travel, I transported it deflated in a smaller duffel. I did one overnight tour with it between islands and in some relatively big seas for sup. I found the additional paddle blade attachment useful for these longer rougher stretches of ocean where standing up became exhausting.

Hey Joshua, That's awesome! Sounds like you've had a chance to really push yourself and your board. Nothing like a bit of island hopping. We're stoked to hear you've made your Expedition your traveling companion. See you on the water, -Matt Social @ Thurso Surf

Great!!! I have a traditional hard hobie board that I was very comfortable on but it is a bear to transport. My Thurso Surf expedition gives me nearly the same stability and feel but of course is so easy to take wherever I want to paddle.

Hey Sandra, 😍Thanks for the board love! It's great to hear your Expedition is making it easier than ever to take with you so you can paddle out hassle-free. Once we discovered how easy to transport and how durable iSUPs were, we had to share them with the world! Keep paddling, -Matt Social @ Thurso Surf
