This printer is not very bad but I can compare it only to prusa mk3s which I also have. In EU duty must be paid so cetus is not much cheaper than prusa. Cetus is more noise than prusa (should be opposite because cetus use linear rails). Fan is working all the time and is not possible to switch it off. Quality of printing is much better in prusa but I expect that can be better also in cetus if you can use a better slicer. The worse thing is the slicer. Prusa has a professional slicer but cetus does not. Of course, you can use prusa slicer or cura but cetus does not provide you profile to use it so is very hard to configure it. You can use simplify3d which have cetus profile but is not free (150usd). Plastic bad in cetus is also very bad. Why is not made from steel? The only better thing in cetus which I see is a little better construction of extruder so you can easily print TPU and I use cetus printer only for this.

At any time I was very well advised. If I had any questions, I immediately got a helping answer. The support could not have been better.

This is the Macintosh of 3D printers! A bit of a 'walled garden' but everything works well together. All the tools you need come with the printer (filament snips, nozzle wrench, stiff putty knife) so you can set up and print right away. A few difficulties assembling the unit because I had purchased an 'upgraded' version with heated bed, auto level and the V2 hotend and unfortunately the documentation is neither for the base unit OR for upgrading an already assembled base unit so there was a little bit of jumping around in the documentation. Also, the pictures of how to connect the ribbon cables for the heated bed could be much clearer and larger on the website as this is where I had the most trouble. The UP software works excellent on my Mac and even allowed me to replace the filament during a print. Note that you must use the included removable bed liners when using the auto level otherwise the sensor will not detect the surface. Speaking of the bed liners, printing with PLA, the print is CEMENTED to the bed (no chance of pulling away or warping) but it is incredibly difficult to remove the print. Fortunately, I only printed a small 2 cm x 2 cm x 2 cm test cube so I was able to eventually chisel it off with the included putty knife but for larger prints I am experimenting with various tape surfaces in order to find a good balance between adhesion and ease of removal (e.g. clear packing tape... does not work!). So far I am am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this printer to anyone that would like a small, simple and quiet desktop 3D printer. Also the shipping was unbelievably fast (from China... ordered on a Sunday, received the printer the following Friday) Clayton Toronto, CANADA
