“I was not able to adequately appreciate the subtleties of this sake. I liked it fine, and would be happy to drink more of it. I would buy more if it were on the inexpensive side, but at its price point, I need something less subtle to justify the expense.”
“After really enjoying the last two nigori I tried, I was excited to experience this one. Unfortunately, it did not reach the same level for me. I guess I was expecting a little more sweetness and this fell more on the dry side. Strangely, I thought this drank more like regular filtered sake. I am not sure if the lees were finer but the mouthfeel was lighter and I thought it was less creamy. Of course, that could be a plus for some. It is hard to describe the subtle differences in taste, and while I found this pleasant to drink, it did not match my preferred flavor profile, so that is why I am unable to give this bottle the full five stars.”
