Yukiotoko “Yeti” Honjozo Reviews

4 Rating 7 Reviews
This matched the tasting notes, it was clean, light, and dry. Though, it was too dry for my taste and lacked the sweetness I like. That is on me for not checking the SMV, which is why I am still giving it four stars as it is a decent sake, it was just not to my preference. I drank this one on its own, but feel this sake would be better enjoyed with food. If you prefer your sake on the drier side, you may enjoy this one.

We used to get this at our local Yakatori place, but they have since stopped serving it. (they can't get it anymore) It is a great sake with a slight mushroomy taste and a nice smooth finish.

As listed in the tasting notes section, I could taste and smell rice. I bought both the Honjozo and the Junmai at the same time. Personally, I thought they tasted the same BUT I also don't have very refined taste buds. I'm more of a "I drinks it, I likes it" type than a " I can taste the early morning dew from a spring mountain... blah" type. So for this, I drank it. It was ok. Better after it warmed up in my hands, but I probably won't come back for more.

this was very nice. It reassures me that I like more than one kind of sake .. I thought I was stuck with only appreciating sakes majoring in umami , but this one is just crisp and transparent, nice. I can appreciate it, and it doesn't taste ordinary.
