“Drank this while warming and, throughout, had strong notes of smoked black pepper tuna and smoked meats. Very mesquite-woodsy. Not necessarily for the faint of heart if you don't like strong, earthy tasting notes...but, if you do, this one ticks all the right boxes. Drinking this sake feels like camping; you can almost smell the pine trees and feel the warmth of the open fire. Even my roommate, who doesn't normally enjoy sake, said that this one was very good. I don't recall what the site's pairings for this sake were but, I would highly recommend a sharp cheddar or munster cheese, and/or anything salty and savory, to go with this beast of a beverage. (I absolutely don't work for Tippsy, but I would highly recommend their cheese-flavored tempura seaweed snack for this sake).”
