“I can see why this sake is popular as it has a flavor that should have a broad appeal. I was surprised that as I was opening the bottle the lid nearly popped off on its own. As expected, the first sip was fresh, lively, and almost effervescent. I enjoyed this chilled and on its own, and it stood up just fine. It had a light sweetness followed by an equally light dryness for an overall pleasant and mellow sip. This was another perfect pick made by the sake club. I have seen this brand’s different offerings, but this is the first time I have tried Tatenokawa. I look forward to exploring this brand more as this was a fantastic sake. While it could seem simple in profile, it achieved it perfectly and the quality can be tasted. I recommend you give this one a try.”
