“This is a solid everyday sake. I did not find it particularly special, but sometimes you do not need more than a simple sake that has a clean and refreshing taste. For me, the first few sips were a little alcohol forward, though thankfully that quickly faded out.”
“This is indeed an earthy and slightly salty junmai. It's a bit too bitter and dry to drink alone, though pairs great with anything salty or fried, especially fried seafood, cheese, or creamy pasta. I had this with panko fried cod and it was a refreshing compliment which brought out the fish flavor and seasonings quite well. Recommended, though for certain meals.”
“Indeed, earthy and mineral, with a bitterness slightly reminiscent of barley. It's a unique taste, to be sure, though has a lingering stoniness which isn't pleasant by itself. It pairs pleasantly with salty or fried foods, especially cheeses and fish, and is a great flavor booster to said foods. Highly recommended with a meal, though not by itself.”
“Very light and dry with a front palate of Umami followed by very light rice and mild fruit. Not really my style. I like bigger more bold flavors, but if you like very light and dry mild flavors this might be for you.”
