Slightly sweet with rice aroma. Strong alcohol finish.

Flavor is OK, but the aroma is just horrible. Smells like moldy socks or a dead roach. High residual sugar content as expected — would be good as an aperitif if not for the smell. I tried adding jasmine extract to mask the smell, but it wasn’t enough to make it palatable, but no. Maybe I was just unlucky and had a bad bottle.

Thanks for your review and I am so sorry that the Nigori sake was not your expectation. In this case, it looks like your bottle might damaged in transit. Please rest assured we will be sending you a replacement for you to try one more time. Thank you for your patience and understanding,"

This sake is cloyingly sweet. I tried it with seltzer water as recommended on the bottle, and all the flavor was lost. I haven't tried it over sweets as the description recommends. Ultimately it was interesting enough to try it out, but I probably wouldn't buy it again.

This one was interesting. I received it in my Sake Box (Sept 2021, I think). It has a velvet like texture to it that you notice more if it gets to room temp. I didn't care for the overall flavor, but I can definitely see it going well with vanilla ice cream. (Wish I'd tried that.)
