This fine brew is so light that it’s like drinking flavored water. Serve chilled and experience summer fun in a glass. A great introduction to the novice who has only previously sampled cheap sake and has rightfully snubbed it. This will help change their mind. Expertly crafted from 南部美人蔵 Nanbu Bijin in Iwate県 look for fruit on the nose and rich juicy flavors.

I don't like sweet Sake such as Dassai, but this one is not sweet at all and tastes very clean.

The first time I had Nanbu Bijin "Shinpaku" was at Maido in Lima on my birthday. Paired with top-notch ika and unagi sushi, it was divine, with hints of star anise. The second time, from Tippsy, I drank it with shiso/misu/walnut rolls, lotus chips, and a prosciutto/potato/jalapeno soup, and it was just as great every time. Definitely tasted more of the melon and lychee. This one's a keeper.

Great nose of tropical fruit. Soft on the palate with sweetness overtones. Very approachable and highly recommended for both beginners and experienced sake drinkers. The sense of sweetness leaves it a bit boring relative to depth and complexity. However, would highly recommend especially for those wanting to try an Iwate prefecture sake.
