Kikumasamune “Shiboritate” Kojo Reviews

The Shiboritate has a clean, almost nonexistent taste beyond the ghost of green apple flavor. A very fun drink.

This was selected as part of my sake club order and this bottle was spot on to my taste. The first scent was a good amount of tropical fruit, for me it was closer to pineapple, and at that point I was pretty sure this was going to be a winner. I tried it chilled and was greeted with a pleasant sweetness, though not overly so, that was balanced with just enough dryness to compliment the fruity taste. This was enjoyable to drink and at this price point, easy to recommend to those who prefer fruitier sake.

Fruity! Try caprese with it.

Excellent value. Would compare it to something $30 or over. Some sweetness, no off-tastes. Melon, not much banana, a little black pepper on the end, a bit meaty. Will buy again

This is one of my go-to sakes; I find it pairs well with dinner or dessert. It's surprisingly fragrant for a sake that is only served chilled, like a little bouquet sitting next to your dish. Also, the lovely blue foil on the bottle impresses guests.

Dry and crisp, fruit flavor comes through well.

Very good. Starts off with sweet start and mellows as it finishes. Smooth and dry. Better alone but would pair well with a desert like a fruit tart or azuki beans. Also, if you're into umami, this is a great choice.
