Fresh from the fridge this refined nihonshu hits you with melon flavours, not overwhelming but unmistakable. Perfect mix of strong body of a junmai and lightness of a daiginjo. Very happy to try it as it's my first costlier bottle.

I shared this bottle with family who have no real experience with sake. So while I poured the sake into champaigne flutes, I explained what they were drinking. As the general conversation continued, I quietly offered refills until the bottle was empty.. Everyone loved it. I am now the family "sake whisperer". This junmai daiginjo became my favorite., wonderful for a trained palete but equally assessable for the newly initiated.

Light, floral, low acidic premium sake that and combines with subtle notes of apple and melon. Smooth and well balanced. I enjoyed it either cold or a room temperature. It is worth noting that Kikumasamune Brewing Company has also produced another premium sake, Genshu Hyakumoku Alt.3
