“While I may or may not have bought this sake because I have an affinity for monkeys, I'm quite glad that I did as I can't say that I've ever had a sake quite like it. On the one hand, it's very dry, but it also has the liveliness and juiciness of a nama sake. That combination leads not only to an excellent balance, but a pretty unique flavor profile. I split the bottle over two meals - one with sushi and the other with izakaya fare. It wasn't a bad pairing with the sushi, but it really sung with the heartier pub food. This would be the absolutely perfect bottle to have alongside yakitori. Will definitely purchase again.”
