Kariho “Namahage” Reviews

Prior to this sake I only had one yamahai, which I did not care for much, but the Kariho Namahage has turned me around! Also, look at that beautiful label! I tried this sake chilled, at room temperature, and warmed. For me the best pairing I tried was with pork curry. This sake has a lovely malt flavor when chilled, and more sweetness comes out as you warm the drink. I am excited to try different yamahais because of this sake.

Like most Yamahais I prefer this one warmed up. That's when the wildness breaks free. Both warmed and chilled, I noticed it is indeed extremely dry as advertised and very malty as well.

A solid sake but found the malt a bit overwhelming. Possibly better warm.

had it on its own and on another occasion with food. both times were great. had them warm.
